Union Cabinet approves ban on e-cigarettes: Nirmala Sitharaman

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday gave approval to ban sale, production, import and distribution of e-cigarettes. Announcing the decision, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that "the Cabinet decided to ban e-cigarettes and similar products as they pose health risk to people, especially the youth."
