TV prices to come down marginally as government cuts import duty on open-cell panels

TV prices are set to come down by 3-4% ahead of the festive season with the government scrapping the import duty on open cell panels used to make television sets. The move will see companies such as Sony, Panasonic and LG revising their prices down while many of the new players such as Sansui and Detel plan to follow suit.
