Sensex dives over 500 points; Nifty ends below 11,450

Equity indices plunged on Wednesday with the benchmark BSE sensex down over 500 points amid heavy losses in financial and auto stocks. Sensex crashed 504 points or 1.29 per cent to close at 38,594; while the broader NSE Nifty tanked 148 points or 1.28 per cent to settle at 11,440.
