'2-wheeler rates can go up by 10-15% after BS6'

While the official transition to BS6 happens from April 1 in 2020, companies plan to start migrating to the stricter emission norms earlier to prevent the build-up of heavy inventory of the outgoing BS4 products. In BS6, the higher retail price will “lead to a dip in sales” as buyers will prepone purchases to avoid paying more, Markus Braunsperger, Chief Technology Officer at Hero Moto, told TOI.
