Markets open flat, Sensex tests 38,000

30-share BSE Sensex gained close to 150 points at the opening bell to start trading at 38,161.85 but slipped in to the red within 15 minutes of trading. The gauge which was close to breaching the 39,000-mark just about a week ago, was now testing the 38,000-mark, due to six successive days of losses in the Street.
